Admission Policy
Elyria Catholic High School is a co-educational institution which admits students of any race, religion, color, nationality, or ethnic origin. Acceptance to the school is based on past school achievement, behavioral and academic records, standardized test scores, and responses to the essay questions on the application. In certain circumstances, a personal interview may be required prior to acceptance.

- Take the high school placement exam. Dates and link are coming soon!
- File an application: Student completes diocesan application through Catholic elementary school.
- Application is processed: The application and other necessary records are forwarded by the elementary school to Elyria Catholic in late January. An admissions committee will review the applicant's records and send a letter of acceptance, conditional acceptance, or non-acceptance to the student.
- Freshmen register: In early March those accepted or conditionally accepted select their courses for the upcoming school year. A non-refundable registration fee of $200 is required when students register for classes.

To Apply for Grades 10-12
- File an application: Request an application packet from the Admissions Office or click on the Elyria Catholic Application
- Application is submitted: The student submits the application form to the Admissions Office. Elyria Catholic requests the student's records from his / her elementary school.
- Schedule an appointment: The student and a parent or guardian will meet with the admissions committee to discuss the transfer request.
- Application is processed: An admissions committee will review the applicant's records and send a letter of acceptance, conditional acceptance, or non-acceptance to the student.
- Transfer Student registers: The Admission Director meets with those accepted or conditionally accepted to select their courses for the upcoming school year. A non-refundable registration fee of $200 is required when students register for classes.
